Wing Chun

Wing Chun is the traditional style of Chinese kung fu, born in southern provinces such as Guandong and Fujian. The History of Wing Chun There are many stories about the founder of this style, one of these stories mention that a female Shaolin master called Wu Mei (Ng Mui) founded Wing Chun style, she was considered a great Chinese master during the Qing dynasty (1644-1911). When the government put the southern Shaolin temple on fire, five great masters in the southern Shaolin temple (Wu Mei, Zhi Shan, Bai Mei, Feng Dao De, and Miao Xian) begun fighting the enemy and managed to escape from hands of the government. After her escape, Wu Mei hid in Daliang mountain and continued her kung fu practices. One day accidentally she saw a fighting between snake and crane, this inspired her to create her own unique style. After that, she trained Yan Yong Chun (Yim Wing Chun) in this style, then Wing Chun organized and spread this style thus this style is known today as Wing Chun.
